Greenside FC today have new owners with a consortium taking the helm to try and halt the raising cost to members. The membership signing on fee for 2007/08 will be £30 a massive reduction on last season, and match day subs are going to be £5.
The Club Committee will run the club and look to bring football for all to the new Croydon Greenside FC, as the club moves towards being a Community Club with teams at all levels and sexes over the next few years, and establishing links with schools in the local area, and the newly formed Jamie Lawrence Academy set up by the former Leicester City & Bradford player.
Neville Clarke returns to the club as President as the club looks for promotion, the club has also appointed Carl Samuels former Charlton FC Scout and former Greenside player and 1st team captain as Vice Chairman. Dave Moon rejoins the club after several years as 1st team assistant manager, and Paul Wycherley will run the new U23 side in the new Junior division 5.
We wish them all the best in their new roles at the club.
The club will look to embark on developing coaches from within, from players already at the club over the next couple of seasons.
